An employee-owned manufacturer of built-up, modified bitumen, single-ply and metal roofing systems and coatings, founded in 1895 as Garland Refining Company and renamed The Garland Company, Inc. under Ohio law in 1914. Garland introduced StressPly in 1980 as the first high-performance modified bitumen roofing system manufactured in North America and has operated from its Cleveland, Ohio plant since 1919.
