A neutral spec reference you can trust on the job
Look up 38 roofing materials and 4383 named products with wind, impact (UL 2218), and fire (ASTM E108 / UL 790) ratings, warranty terms, and the standards each product meets — each field carrying its own source and verification date. Because the directory sells nothing and lists every manufacturer on equal footing, the comparison is neutral.
Local permitting, in one place
The directory tracks 5289 local permitting authorities across the hail belt: whether a roofing permit is required, whether the jurisdiction requires contractor registration, the adopted code, inspection requirements, and the permit portal — each with a cited source. Per-city hubs pull a city’s permit rules, local suppliers, and hail-appropriate materials onto one page.
Sourcing and certifications
Cross-reference 314 manufacturers and their certification programs (the credentials that back enhanced warranties), find 277 distributors by their branch cities, and filter materials by attribute — Class 4 impact-resistant, Class A fire-rated, by slope, and by material family.
Why partner with the directory
The directory is also building a B2B layer. Contractors who want to be discoverable alongside the neutral reference data — or who spot gaps in the local permitting or supplier coverage — can reach out to help shape it. There is no advertising product yet; this is an invitation to partner early.
How sponsored listings work
The reference data in this book is sourced, and it is not for sale. A sponsored listing is a separate, paid placement with its own rules:
- Labeled. Every sponsored placement carries the word "Sponsored" and sits in its own panel, apart from the sourced records. It has no verification badge, because the book has not verified it.
- Placement only. Payment does not change, reorder or remove any sourced record, and it does not change what the book says about a code, a product or a jurisdiction.
- Kept out of the data. Sponsored content is left out of the structured data, the AI-readable index and Supplement Packs. An answer engine citing this book is never citing an ad.
- Identity checked. The one thing checked is that the request comes from the company's own domain. The wording in a placement is the sponsor's.

Yes. The directory lists every manufacturer on equal footing and sells no placement, so product comparisons are not pay-to-play. Every field is backed by a cited, dated source.

Coverage started with Denver-metro and the Front Range and now spans hail-belt states, tracking permit requirements, contractor registration, adopted codes, and inspection requirements with cited sources. Missing jurisdictions can be requested.
