Non-fibered, quick-drying asphalt roof primer of refined asphalt and penetrating oils that re-saturates existing felts to form a bonding surface for Garland coatings and can also prime masonry and bare concrete roof decks. Garla-Prime VOC is the lower-VOC solvent-based version with its own data sheet, for metal, concrete, built-up, prepared gravel and modified bitumen surfaces. The Garla-Prime data sheet states it meets ASTM D 41 and lists coverage of 0.5 to 1 gal. per 100 sq. ft., VOC of 450 g/L and 5 gallon pails; Garla-Prime VOC lists VOC under 350 g/L and states its asphalt base meets ASTM D41-11.
