Drip edges shall extend not less than 1/4 inch (6.4 mm) below the roof sheathing and extend up back onto the roof deck not less than 2 inches (51 mm)... None of these amendment items touches IRC Chapter 9 (Roof Assemblies); the chapter is adopted unamended. No UL 2218, Class 4, or hail-impact provision appears anywhere in Chapter 5. The Oklahoma Uniform Building Code Commission's IRC 2015 Permanent Rule (OAC Title 748, Ch. 20, Subch. 5, Section 748:20-5-11.1, 3 Chapter 9 modifications), which governs by default where Del City is silent, likewise contains no impact-resistance provision.
