No. 11131-2021), and similarly adopts "The 2021 Edition of the International Existing Building Code... excluding appendices and Sections 113.2, 113.3, and 113.4, and with the recommended amendments of the North Central Texas Council of Governments" (Sec. 7-8).
Impact-resistant roofing

No. 11131-2021, adopted December 14, 2021) adopts the 2021 International Building Code together with "Option A" of the North Central Texas Council of Governments' recommended amendments as the city's Building Code; Sec. 7-8 of the same ordinance adopts the 2021 International Existing Building Code with NCTCOG's recommended amendments. The city has no separately adopted International Residential Code; the Unified Development Code's Article 13, Building Permits and Construction Management (adopted September 2, 2025), ties all new-construction and alteration code compliance back to Sec. 7-7. Neither package touches the IBC's roof-assembly chapter (Chapter 15) or roof-covering sections; their Option A/B provisions address only high-rise sprinkler thresholds, egress, and elevator hoistway protection. No UL 2218, Class 4, or impact-resistance provision appears in any of the four documents.
