A family-owned Western Red Cedar shake and shingle maker in British Columbia, begun when Bill Watkins built a lumber mill on the Harrison River in 1947 and now run with his son and grandson. Its operations include a cedar shake and shingle mill, a sidewall shingle plant, a fire safety and preservative treatment facility, a logging division, dry kilns, a sidewall painting division and a wholesale and shipping division, employing over 100 people. Besides the certified shakes and shingles it manufactures, it stocks uncertified shakes and shingles from other suppliers, and it sells through dealers across North America with mailing addresses in Mission, British Columbia and Sumas, Washington.
