A Western Red Cedar shake and shingle mill at Pitt Meadows, British Columbia, run by the Meeker family, whose shake and shingle business it traces to Toke Meeker's Meeker Cedar Products at Mission in the 1930s and to Stave Lake Cedar Mills before that. Clayton Meeker built Anbrook in the later 1970s as a small one-machine mill next door to his larger Clayton Cedar Products shake mill, and Anbrook states it has deliberately stayed small. It makes split and resawn shakes, tapersawn shakes and shingles in Western Red Cedar and in Alaskan yellow cedar, states its products meet the Sustainable Forestry Initiative chain of custody criteria, and keeps a US mailing address in Sumas, Washington.
