Bartile
A family-owned maker of extruded concrete roof tile based in Centerville, Utah, which describes itself as a roof tile manufacturer since 1942 offering slate, split timber (shake), Sierra Mission and European profiles in over 700 colors, each backed by a 75-year warranty. Its extruded concrete roof tiles are the subject of ICC-ES Evaluation Report ESR-2778, which states they comply with ASTM C1492.
Camara Slate
A family-run Vermont slate quarrier and fabricator based in Fair Haven, Vermont, producing natural roofing slate alongside flagstone and pavers, floor tile and countertops. Its site says its quarries in the Green Mountains have been worked since the mid 1850s and that it quarries, fabricates and distributes its own products. It also buys used roofing slate across the Northeast, sorts it in Vermont and resells it by the piece or pallet for repairs and historic work.
Coelho da Silva
A Portuguese family maker of fired clay roof tile, which says it has made roof tile in Portugal since 1927 and has been run by three generations of the same family. It sells in the United States through CS Clay Tile, its exclusive partner in Palm Coast, Florida, which stocks three profiles (Tecno, Plasma and Plasma TX5) with matching clay fittings and publishes a 50-year limited warranty for them. Miami-Dade County Notices of Acceptance for Tecno and Plasma name the manufacturer, spelled Coelha da Silva, in Juncal, Portugal, and CS Clay Roof LLC as the distributor.
Crown Roof Tiles
A concrete roof tile manufacturer trading as Crown Roof Tiles, with U.S. manufacturing at its Arcadia, Florida plant (Crown Building Products of Florida, LLC) supplying the Florida Signature Series, and a second plant in Monterrey, Mexico supplying the Texas Signature Series through a Pharr, Texas distribution yard. Its affiliate Russell Roof Tiles, founded in Great Britain in 1892 and making concrete roof tile since 1965, was acquired in November 2011.

A Spanish quarrier and processor of natural slate for roofing and rainscreen cladding, which describes itself as the world leader in the production and distribution of natural slate and states that one of every two natural slates installed worldwide comes from it. It reports 24 owned quarries and 29 processing plants in Galicia and Castile and Leon, dates its first mining development to 1892 while its company page also prints 1968 as its founding year, and markets its roofing slates in the United States with a 100-year manufacturer's guarantee. Its roofing range includes the CUPA-numbered natural slates and the READYSLATE pre-assembled slate panel system.

Glendyne
A slate quarrier and manufacturer at Saint-Marc-du-Lac-Long, Quebec, which describes its deposit as the largest slate quarry in North America. The deposit was found during construction of the Transcontinental Railway in the early 20th century, worked briefly by Europeans until the First World War, and brought back into operation in 1995 by a group of local entrepreneurs. Glendyne extracts slate blocks, processes them in its nearby plant into roofing slate and decorative slate, and sells through distributors.
Greenstone Slate Company
A third-generation, Hill family quarrier and manufacturer of Vermont roofing slate, with quarries and facilities operating in Vermont and New York State. Ernest I. Hill began production at a Poultney, Vermont quarry in 1955; the business was incorporated in 1980 as Quarry Slate Industries and later renamed Greenstone Slate Company, and it has since acquired the Penrhyn Hill quarries in Middle Granville, New York and the Briar Hill Quarries. It manufactures roofing slate in its Poultney facilities and states that all of its slate colors meet the S1 grade of ASTM C406.
Hilltop Slate
A quarrier and producer of natural slate for roofing and architectural applications, established in 1948, which owns and operates its own quarries in New York and Vermont and machines raw slate into finished products in its own manufacturing facilities. Besides roofing slate it produces slate tiles for flooring, paving and landscaping, and it sells across the United States and to the UK, Ireland, Europe and Australia. Its main office is in Middle Granville, New York.
La Escandella
A Spanish maker of ceramic clay roof tile, roof accessories and tile-integrated photovoltaic systems, operating as Cerámica La Escandella S.A. in Agost, Alicante. In the United States its Planum, Selectum, Curved and Mixed Large S tiles are sold through Santafé Tile Corporation, and Miami-Dade County Notices of Acceptance name Agost as the place of manufacture.
Ludowici Roof Tile
An American manufacturer of architectural terracotta clay roof tile, floor tile, and wall cladding, made in New Lexington, Ohio. Known for long-life, handcrafted clay tile used on landmark buildings. Its roots trace to the 1888 Celadon Terra Cotta Company.
MCA Clay Roof Tile
MCA (Maruhachi Ceramics of America, Inc.) makes clay roof tile from its corporate office in Corona, California, citing nearly a century of experience behind the MCA label. Its standard profiles include One Piece "S" Mission, Classic "S" Mission, Straight Barrel Mission, Corona and Classic Tapered Mission, Roman Pan, Turret Tile, Oriental-Japanese, MF108 Flat and Improved "S", offered in Natural Red terra cotta and flashed or glazed colors, with lead-free colors and a 50-year limited warranty available on all MCA tiles.
Newmont Slate Company
A quarrier and fabricator of natural Vermont roofing slate, operating quarries in Pawlet, Wells, and West Pawlet, Vermont. Incorporated in 1994 as successor to Granville Slate Co., it produces roofing slate graded to ASTM C406 S-1 and the patented QWIK Slate hook-fixing installation system, and states it is the largest roofing slate producer in the United States.
Penn Slate
A slate quarrier and fabricator headquartered in Slatington, Pennsylvania, which operates two quarries in Pennsylvania's Slate Belt and mines a blue-gray slate that its quarrymen hand split after extraction. Besides roofing slate it fabricates architectural slate such as flooring, countertops, window sills and mantels, and small slate goods such as turkey calls and quoit boards, selling to distributors, contractors, architects and homeowners. Its mailing address is in Philadelphia.
Santafé Tile
The U.S. subsidiary of Ladrillera Santafé, a Colombian maker of clay roof tile and brick, with corporate offices in Medley, Florida and yards in Florida, Texas and California. It sells clay roof tile made by its parent in Bogotá, Colombia, handmade tile made in Cúcuta, Colombia, and, as distributor, the Planum, Selectum, Curved and Mixed Large S tiles of Cerámica La Escandella of Spain. Its site states that Ladrillera Santafé created the international branch in 1990 and advertises a 100-year product warranty.
Sheldon Slate Products
A family-owned slate quarrier and manufacturer, owned and operated by third, fourth and fifth generation slate quarriers of the Tatko family, with operations at Monson, Maine and Middle Granville, New York. It states it mines and manufactures its own slate products from its own quarries in the United States and dates its work in slate to 1917. Besides custom-made roofing slate it produces honed slate for flooring, kitchens and baths, architectural and landscape work.
Tejas Borja
A Spanish maker of ceramic clay roof tile, trim pieces and tile-integrated solar and insulation systems, based in Llíria, Valencia, where it says it runs four production lines for roof tiles and accessories. It dates its roof tile manufacturing to 1899 and states that it has been part of the French Edilians Group since December 2021. Its product pages print imperial dimensions alongside metric ones, and the pages for its flat, S-interlocking and barrel tiles link Miami-Dade County Notices of Acceptance and ICC-ES evaluation report ESR-2111, which name Tejas Borja S.A.U. as the manufacturer and Laterizi, Inc. as the distributor in the Miami-Dade notices.
Vande Hey Raleigh
A manufacturer of handcrafted, custom-made concrete roof tile, founded in 1973 and manufacturing in Little Chute, Wisconsin. Offers standard tile profiles as well as custom color blending, salvaged/discontinued-tile matching for historic restoration, and architectural copper and sheet metal accessories, backed by a limited lifetime warranty on manufactured tile.
Verea Clay Roof Tile
The North American operation of the Spanish clay roof tile maker Verea, selling through authorized distributors from a yard at 7275 NW 61 Street in Miami, Florida. Its site states that Cerámica Verea has been one of Europe's leading roof tile manufacturers since 1967 and that it offers three profiles to the North American market (Spanish S, Barrel and Verea Flat), all conforming to ASTM Grade 1, with a limited lifetime warranty. Miami-Dade County Notices of Acceptance name Tejas Verea, S.A. in La Coruña, Spain as the manufacturer.
Vermont Structural Slate Company
A family-run producer of custom architectural stone that quarries and fabricates its own Vermont roofing slate, alongside slate, marble, quartzite, granite, limestone and basalt for flooring, paving, cladding and other uses. Its site says it has specialized in custom architectural stone for over 150 years and that it produces roofing slate "on the grain" for strength. It lists a mailing address in Fair Haven, Vermont and a physical address in Whitehall, New York.
