The chapter is codified through Ordinance No. 2025-08 and its amendment list was reviewed in full. The Town amends two roofing sections, neither of which concerns impact resistance. Section R908.3.1.1, governing when a new roof covering may not be applied over an existing one, is amended so that the prohibition on a third covering does not apply where that covering is metal panels installed with appropriate length fasteners. A new Section R908.7 is added requiring attic ventilation to comply with Section R806. A further amendment waives an engineer's review of the roof structure for an added covering whose installed weight does not exceed three pounds per square foot with staggered fasteners. No amendment requires an impact rating, and the chapter contains no reference to UL 2218 or Class 4 roof coverings.
