XeroFlor's root barrier is a four-layer reinforced laminated extrusion laid over the waterproofing membrane to keep roots out of the building components, sold in 10, 20, 30 and 40 mil grades (XF 110, XF 120, XF 130 and XF 140). The XF 110 data sheet prints a 13.3 ft x 100 ft roll, 10 mil thickness, a grab tensile of 75 lbf, a Mullen burst of 75 psi, a service temperature range of -70 F to 180 F, and a flame spread index of 5 with a smoke developed value of 55, and states that it passed or exceeded NFPA 701 Test Method 2 (large scale). Sheets are overlapped 6 in.
