XF + MW (XF + Mineral Wool) is XeroFlor's hydrolight built-up green roof assembly, printed at 28 lb per square foot with 2 in of growth media, plus 6.6 lb for each additional inch. XeroFlor describes it as an upgrade to XF + GM that substitutes mineral wool for the moisture mat to raise water retention without substantially increasing weight. The XF499 mineral wool retention layer is a binder-free stone wool of mainly basalt, diabase and dolomite, 1.02 in thick, printed at 0.72 lb per square foot dry and 5.65 lb saturated with a water capacity above 93%, installed over a drainage layer.
