The XF Drainage Layer is the drainage mat in XeroFlor's built-up and tray green roof systems, laid above the root barrier to carry excess water off the roof below the vegetated layers. It is sold in three grades: XF 225, a 0.30 in extruded polypropylene matrix with a needle-punched non-woven filter fabric, in 4 ft x 50 ft rolls; XF 240, a 0.45 in recycled polypropylene waffle-pattern core with a bonded geo-composite fabric, in 3.25 ft x 61.5 ft rolls; and XF 275, a 0.7 in core of looped polyamide filaments thermally bonded to a perforated non-woven filter fabric, in 3.25 ft x 197 ft rolls. The XF 240 sheet prints a water flow capacity of 22 gal/min/ft2 at 500 psf, and the XF 240 and XF 275 sheets list more than 40 percent post-industrial recycled content. The XF 225 sheet lists fire testing under ASTM E 84.
