An acrylic-rubber modified version of the maker's clay-stabilized asphalt emulsion, formulated for colder weather, with more elongation, adhesion and low-temperature flexibility than the standard #298. It is used as a waterproofing compound with polyester or fiberglass reinforcement in cold-process built-up and Fluid Applied Reinforced Roofing systems, as a surface coating, and as a base coat for #525 SilverWhite. The product page cites ASTM D1227 Type III (rubber modified); the technical bulletin lists 45-55% total solids and says the film remains flexible below freezing.
