VB Armor is a mechanically-attached synthetic roofing underlayment marketed as stronger than 30-lb felt while lighter and easier to handle, carrying VB Shield's SlipGuard walking surface with roughly five times the coverage per roll of Type 30 felt. It ships in 48 in. by 250 ft. rolls, is completely inorganic and asphalt-free (no rotting or molding), and is treated to resist UV degradation for up to six months. Its own code-and-standard-compliance table cites ASTM D226 Type II, ICC-ES AC207 (Acceptance Criteria for Polypropylene Underlayments), CSA A123.3, ASTM E108/UL 790 Class A fire, and CSA 220.1, with a reported 155.5 gsm total fabric weight, minimum MD/CD grab strength of 160/155 lb and MD/CD trapezoidal tear of 30/30 lb per ASTM D751/D2261. It carries a 50-year limited warranty.
