Paradiene is Siplast's SBS-modified bitumen roof membrane line; Siplast's history page says it and Royal Dutch Shell unveiled Paradiene in 1965 as the first SBS roofing membrane. In the two-ply Paradiene 20 TG/30 TG system, the Paradiene 20 base ply is an elastomeric SBS and asphalt blend reinforced with fiberglass, and a granule-surfaced top ply (Paradiene 30 TG or Parafor 30 TG) shields it from weather and mechanical abuse. Siplast offers the base ply in several reinforcements, including a lightweight random fiberglass mat, a high-tensile fiberglass scrim/mat composite (HT), and a fiberglass scrim/polyester mat composite (PR), and in torch-applied, heat-activated stripe-adhered (TS), cold or SFT adhesive, hot asphalt, and self-adhesive versions. The plies are available with Siplast RoofTag RFID chips.
