WindDisc is a disc, 100 mils thick and 1.75 in in diameter, that is tapped into slots at the corners of adjacent LiveRoof modules (or between RoofStone pavers) so the next row slides over it, locking the field together against independent vertical movement. LiveRoof's performance sheet reports a full-scale test under CAN/CSA A123.24-15 in which modules installed with WindDisc remained connected at uplift pressures exceeding 200 psf (a 133 psf rating after a 1.5 experimental factor), with heavier Deep and Maxx systems stated as expected to perform at least as well based on testing of lighter systems. The sheet notes that RoofStone pavers and LiveRoof modules cannot be interconnected with WindDisc; it connects modules to modules or pavers to pavers. LiveRoof says it is typically specified for high-rise buildings and high-wind regions.
