RoofBlue is LiveRoof's patented blue-green roof stormwater line, installed beneath LiveRoof modules. RoofBlue RETAIN captures storm water and later releases it upward to plant roots; LiveRoof states it holds 1.35 gallons per square foot in addition to the water held by the soil and is made from recycled material. RoofBlue DETAIN is a riser used with control-flow drains for temporary detention below the green roof, printed at 24 in x 12 in x 3.75 in with a maximum detention capacity of 455 cubic inches (about 2 gallons) per square foot and a minimum compressive strength of 64 psi. The Stormwater Properties sheet lists DETAIN at 90.5% void space and a maximum added weight of 18.2 lb per square foot beyond the green roof system, and prints its detention volume as 456 cubic inches where the product page prints 455.
