Scots is ITW Buildex's long-life Teks self-drilling fastener for metal roof and wall panels, with a 300 series stainless steel encapsulated head over a carbon steel shank and an integral EPDM washer (the Maxiseal integral washer system named in the catalog index). The 2026 product catalog says the stainless head is the most preferred for Galvalume long-life panels and that it "will never rust... ever!!!", and lists 12-14, 12-24 and 1/4-14 hex washer head sizes with #1, #2, #3 and #5.0 drill points in a Climaseal finish, for panel-over-blanket-insulation to steel framing and roof curb to structural frame attachments. The catalog also specifies Scots screws for fastening the Dektite and Dek-Cap flashings.
