ITW Buildex Light-to-Medium Duty Teks screws drill their own hole and form threads in one step when fastening into thin-to-moderate-thickness steel, used to secure roof deck to steel framing and to attach electrical supports, low-voltage cabling, HVAC components, and other light structural attachments. They are offered with Climaseal or Electro-Zinc finishes, #1 through #3 drill points, #8 through 1/4-inch diameters, and lengths from 1/2 inch to 4 inches. The product catalog reports 1,000-hour salt-spray corrosion results per ASTM B117 for the Climaseal finish.
