Greenstone Slate's Legacy Line natural roofing slate, announced in August 2023 and sourced through a partnership with the Vega quarry in Spain rather than from Greenstone's Vermont quarries. Greenstone describes it as S1-rated natural roofing slate supplied with its lightweight installation method, which it states achieves less than 6 pounds per square foot, about 40 percent less roof weight than a traditional slate installation, while still carrying a 100-year warranty. The announcement calls that installation method Greenstone's patented method, while Greenstone's own SlateTec page describes Greenstone as the North American distributor for SlateTec.
