Natural roofing slate quarried and manufactured by Glendyne at Saint-Marc-du-Lac-Long, Quebec. Glendyne describes it as dark grey with shades of blue and very homogeneous shades despite a discrete stratification of fine silts, and states it is free of pyrite or any other metal intrusion, so it does not rust. Glendyne sells a "top-choice" product only, checking each slate individually and re-cutting pieces that miss its appearance and thickness criteria, labels each box for traceability to the source, and states the slate meets and exceeds ASTM C406, ATG H768 and EN 12326. It recommends country-specific installation techniques and refers buyers to its distributors.
