VSR II is a mechanically seamed standing seam roof with 16 in wide panels, a 2 in tall seam with parallel striations, and 24 and 22 gauge steel, in Butler-Cote finishes or Galvalume. Panels attach with concealed fixed or moveable clips and carry factory-applied sealant, and the system takes fiberglass blanket insulation up to 6 in thick with a lowest tested U-factor of 0.050. Butler lists UL 580 and UL Class 90 uplift ratings, ASTM E1680 and E1646 testing, FM Class 1 approval, a Class 4 impact resistance rating and Miami-Dade certification, and offers weathertightness and finish warranties of up to 25 years.
