MR-24 is a standing seam metal roof system with 24 in (610 mm) wide factory-punched panels in 24 and 22 gauge ASTM A792 aluminum-zinc alloy coated steel, supplied acrylic coated (bare) or painted in Butler-Cote FP-500 colors. Panels join with a 360-degree Pittsburgh double-lock seam and attach with floating clips that let the roof move with temperature, and the system takes polyisocyanurate insulation up to R-40. Butler lists a UL Class 90 wind uplift rating with FM Global and Miami-Dade approval, and offers an optional 25-year weathertightness and finish warranty. Two published options use the same seam: MR-24 Conventional, installed over Butler B-Deck or a comparable structural deck on conventional bar joist framing, and CMR-24, which adds polyisocyanurate rigid insulation over a continuous vapor retarder and an interior Mod-36 steel liner panel.
