The Universal Vent is Active Ventilation Products' static, hooded off-ridge vent with horizontal louvers, used as an exhaust vent high on a pitched roof, as an intake vent low on the roof, or to ventilate parapet walls, on roofs of 3/12 pitch or greater. Models run from UV-15 to UV-135 by net free area; the UV-60 page prints a 47 in. length and 60 inches of net free area, 1/8 in. openings between louvers, and says Universal Vents are UL-listed and rated up to 50+ PSF or wind pressure above 200 MPH, Texas Department of Insurance certified and Florida State Approved. A 2017 UL certificate of compliance posted by the company covers models UV-15 through UV-135 under TAS 202, ASTM E330 and California Building Code Chapter 7A, Section 706A.2. AVP's off-ridge vent warranty is 1 year from purchase.
