Hydrotech Surface Conditioner is the concrete primer used to improve the bond of Monolithic Membrane 6125 roofing and waterproofing membranes to concrete decks; it is spray-applied at 300 to 600 square feet per gallon and is for concrete substrates only. The line has four versions with their own product data sheets: Surface Conditioner 56170 (an asphaltic conditioner that must conform to CGSB 37-GP-9Ma, in 5 gallon pails or 55 gallon drums), Low VOC Surface Conditioner (asphalt in a low-VOC solvent, under 350 g/L), Surface Conditioner VC (water based, 0 g/L VOC, 5 gallon pails) and Surface Conditioner GC (a one-component water-based copolymer primer for concrete with high moisture levels, which the maker says passes ASTM E96 as a class 1 water vapor barrier). The VC and GC versions cannot be used below 40 F.
