LiteTop is Hydrotech's engineered growing media for Garden Roof assemblies, blended to order by a network of Hydrotech-approved regional blenders and tested against Hydrotech performance specifications using protocols from ASTM standards and the German FLL guidelines. Standard blends are offered for extensive roofs (well draining, with high water holding capacity for drought-tolerant plants), lawns (lower organic content with a finer texture to resist compaction under foot traffic, intended for regular irrigation), intensive roofs (similar to a loamy garden soil for trees, shrubs and perennials) and urban agriculture (for vegetables and herbs), along with an ultra-lightweight blend and custom blends. Hydrotech does not publish a single property sheet for the media; blend properties are set per project and region.
