Honeycomb Reservoir Layer is a stormwater detention panel of small-diameter, solid-wall, rigid high-density polyethylene tubes set vertically and fused together, about 90% open, used inside Hydrotech Purple Roof assemblies to provide void space for detention. Panels are 4 by 8 feet in 1, 2, 3 and 4 inch thicknesses, with a density of 3.8 lb per cubic foot and a compressive strength of 140 psi by ASTM C365. The data sheet says it is always used with other Purple Roof components and never with another drainage layer.
