The Garden Roof Assembly is Hydrotech's single-source vegetated roof system, built from the deck up on Hydrotech Monolithic Membrane 6125 with a Hydroflex or Root Stop root barrier, Styrofoam insulation, Gardendrain drainage and retention panels (GR10, GR25 or GR30), Systemfilter, LiteTop growing media and vegetation. Hydrotech says its first Garden Roof Assembly was installed in 1996 and that the assemblies have achieved FM Approvals from the deck up through the vegetation. It is offered in extensive (3 to 6 in of growing media, low maintenance, with a GRT Vista modular tray option and optional rock mineral wool for added water holding), intensive (6 to 36 in or more of media for shrubs and trees), lawn (8 to 12 in or more of LiteTop Lawn media) and sloped configurations using GardNet soil confinement. Warranties listed in its guide specification include material, watertightness, thermal and total system coverage, with terms set per project. The maker's own copy differs on slope limits: the current brochure limits the extensive assembly to a maximum 2:12 slope, while the extensive web page says it can be applied at pitches up to 12:12 or 45 degrees with appropriate measures.
