The Building Permits & Inspections page requires permit applicants to submit, along with the company name, address, and phone number, "a copy of the Oklahoma State Contractor's License/Registration Card."
Permit process note
For re-roofing permits, applicants email the Building Division the job/service address; the customer's name and phone number; a description of the work performed and type of inspection; and the company name, address, phone number and a copy of the Oklahoma State Contractor's License/Registration Card. Permits may also be submitted in person at City Hall, 200 S. Main St. Residential permits are processed in 3 to 5 days; commercial permits in 10 to 15 days. Inspections are requested by calling 918.376.1542.
Inspection requirements
The city's re-roofing standards require valley linings installed per manufacturer's instructions before shingles are applied (for closed valleys, one ply of smooth roll roofing complying with ASTM D6380, not less than 36 inches wide); a drip edge at eaves and rake edges of shingled roofs, with adjacent segments overlapped not less than 2 inches, extending not less than 1/4 inch below the roof sheathing and not less than 2 inches back onto the roof deck; underlayment installed over the drip edge along eaves and under the underlayment along rake edges; and the drip edge mechanically fastened to the roof deck at intervals not exceeding 12 inches on center.
