The Uniform Construction Code's permit rule, N.J.A.C. 5:23-2.15(b)9, reads: "If work involves a home improvement performed by a contractor, such contractor shall be registered pursuant to N.J.S.A. 56:8-136 et seq. The registration number of the contractor shall appear on the permit application."

Section 105-292 sets the annual fees at $100, $50 and $25 for the three classes, and Section 105-295 reads: "All such licenses shall expire on December 31 of each year."
