Not required — The Town of Akron's Town Code, Title 10, Building and Development, was read in full. Chapter 2 adopts the International Building Code, 2018 edition, Chapters 1 through 35 with Appendices C, E, G, H, I and J, at Section 10-2-1, enacted by Ordinance 514 on January 6, 2014 and amended to the 2018 edition by Ordinance 589 on June 5, 2023. Chapter 3 separately adopts the International Residential Code, 2009 edition, Chapters 1 through 43 with Appendices B, C, D, E, G, H, J and K, at Section 10-3-1, enacted by Ordinance 515 on January 6, 2014 and amended by Ordinance 549 on January 3, 2018, so the Town's residential code remains on the 2009 edition while its building code has moved to 2018. Each chapter carries a closed list of revisions to the code it adopts, and both lists were read: on the building side Sections 101.1, 105.2, 105.5, 1612.3 and 3412.2, covering the jurisdiction name, deleted permit exemptions, permit expiration and extension, flood hazard areas and an effective date; on the residential side Sections R101.1, R105.2, R105.5, R313.1 and R313.2, covering the same administrative ground together with the automatic sprinkler provisions. Chapter 1 of the title is administrative, and the remaining chapters govern building numbers, airport overlay zoning and shipping containers. No revision touches Chapter 15 of the Building Code or Chapter 9 of the Residential Code, and neither the adopted codes nor any Town revision requires impact-resistant roof coverings or names a UL 2218 or Class 4 standard. The only statewide instrument reaching reroofing is the Colorado Wildfire Resiliency Code, 8 CCR 1507-39, effective July 1, 2026 in areas designated wildland-urban interface under that code, which requires a Class A roof covering tested to ASTM E108 or UL 790 where 25 percent or more of the roof surface is replaced, at Sections 101.6 and 403.2; that is a fire classification independent of impact rating, and the code sets no impact-resistance requirement.
