Virginia's statewide trade organization for roofing contractors, suppliers, consultants and other roofing industry professionals, founded in 1967 as the Virginia Association of Roofing Contractors. A 501(c)(6) non-profit funded by voluntary dues, VARP works to advance roofing in the Commonwealth through education, advocacy and workforce development, vets applicants through its board of directors, and runs a ProCert preparation class for roofing employees at Tidewater Community College.

Membership benefits
Contractors, suppliers, manufacturers and reps, engineers and consultants are eligible for full membership, and other firms may join as non-voting industry associates. Members are vetted by the board, get networking and mentoring at meetings and conferences, a clearinghouse of business services such as insurance, financial and legal contacts, a listing in the online directory, state-level advocacy, and technical and safety training.
