A nonprofit state trade association for the roofing industry in Kentucky, representing commercial and residential roofing contractors along with manufacturers, suppliers and other industry professionals. Because Kentucky has no state licensing requirement for roofing contractors, the association runs its own Certified Contractor program, begun in 2001, which requires members to carry at least $1 million in liability insurance, post a $10,000 bond, complete at least 10 hours of approved continuing education each year and sign a code of ethics.

Membership benefits
Certified Contractor members are listed in the association's public directory and may use the KRCA Certified Contractor logo once they meet the annual insurance, bond, continuing education and code of ethics requirements. Associate membership is open to suppliers, manufacturers, independent reps and agents, and affiliate membership to architects, engineers and consultants.
