A Minnesota trade association of residential and commercial exterior contractors, distributors and manufacturers, formed in 2009 by construction trade partners responding to insurance-industry legislation that affected contractors working on storm-related jobs. It lobbies at the State Capitol and before state regulatory agencies, holds free winter education classes for members, and runs a public member search. Contractor members must have held a roofing or contractor business license in Minnesota for at least three years, an A rating or better with the BBB, and good standing with the Minnesota Department of Labor and Industry.
