A trade association of roofing and waterproofing contractors based in the greater Chicagoland area, which describes itself as the leading roofing trade association in Illinois. Its history traces the association to the rebuilding of Chicago after the Great Fire of 1871. Contractor members are roofing contractors licensed and insured by the State of Illinois, and associate members include manufacturers, distributors, manufacturers' representatives, allied service suppliers and consultants. It runs its own board, committees, trade show, magazine and a charitable foundation that awards scholarships.
