Family-owned wholesale building-material distributor founded in 1965 by Marv Willemsen and Herb Saunders in a rented Mason City, Iowa warehouse, operating wholesale-only from its present North Carolina Avenue site since 1974 and serving lumberyards across North Central Iowa, southern Minnesota and southwestern Wisconsin. Sold to the present ownership group, including Bob Willemsen and Rick Bitterman, in 1994. Its published categories are composite decking, gutter and rain goods, roofing and siding, vinyl windows, insulation, and rigid foam products; it does not sell retail and refers retail customers to a local lumberyard.
