Portland, Oregon roofing distributor whose history begins with Francis Brothers Feed and Seed, founded in 1920 by Austin Francis and his three sons; the brothers bought their feed and seed supplier, bringing Dealers Supply into existence in 1927, and the business moved gradually from farm supply into building materials, especially roofing. The company says it pioneered conveyor rooftop delivery on flatbed trucks in the mid-sixties. It has been local and family owned since its inception, is operated today by the fourth and fifth generations of the Francis family, and in 2013 relocated from Southeast Portland to its current warehouse and distribution facility on NW Nicolai Street. It supplies roofing, waterproofing, air barrier and tapered insulation products.
