Products / ZinCo Sedum Carpet Green Roof System

Sedum Carpet is ZinCo's standard shallow, lightweight extensive green roof build-up for low-maintenance ground cover. From the roof up it lists an optional WSF 40 polyethylene root barrier, an SSM 45 protection and storage mat, the Floradrain FD 25-E drainage and water retention element, an SF polypropylene filter sheet, about 2.5 in of Zincoblend E growing media (about 1.75 in under vegetation mats) and the Sedum Carpet plant community of low-growing, wind- and frost-resistant sedum species. The maker prints a build-up height of about 3 3/4 in, a saturated weight of about 20 lb per square foot and water storage of about 0.8 gal per square foot, and notes that the roof construction beneath must be planned and built to the rules for waterproofed roofs.
