Products / ZinCo Pre-cultivated Vegetation Mats

ZinCo's pre-cultivated vegetation mats are outdoor-grown, tightly rooted sedum mats on a biodegradable carrier for fast cover on extensive green roofs, which the maker says suit steep slopes and wind-exposed sites. The plant mix holds 6 to 12 sedum varieties such as Sedum album, Sedum acre and Sedum spurium varieties, with 75% to 95% coverage, a thickness of about 1.0 to 2.5 in and a saturated weight of about 4.5 to 8.0 lb per square foot; mats come about 48 in x 75 in or 15 in x 20 in, with shade and color options on request. They are rolled out with tight butt joints on level Zincoblend E after a slow-release fertilizer, watered thoroughly, and installed from early spring to late fall when weather allows, avoiding frost and heat.
