Georaster is ZinCo's interlocking grid element of black HD-PE (about 80% recycled material) used as shear force protection on sloped green roofs, in combination with stable eaves or added shear barriers, and as reinforcement for gravel-lawn paving. Each element is about 1.8 ft x 1.8 ft on a grid of about 2.05 ft, about 3.9 in high and about 4.6 lb, with a maximum compressive strength in the shear direction of about 1,100 lb per piece; elements join with T-shaped plug connectors, are laid on the protection layer in the marked direction, are infilled with growing media and must be completely covered. A pallet of 96 pieces covers about 404 sq ft. It is the core of ZinCo's Sloped Sedum build-up for slopes of more than 20 degrees and up to 35 degrees.
