Fixodrain XD 20 is ZinCo's roll-out drainage, water retention and protection mat of recycled polyolefin (mainly PE) with a pre-attached filter sheet and diffusion openings, offered as an economical alternative for single-layer extensive green roof build-ups. The data sheet prints a height of about 0.8 in, a weight of about 0.2 lb per square foot, a compressive strength of about 7.25 psi at 10% compression, water retention of about 0.07 gal per square foot, in-plane flow rates at 1, 2, 3 and 10% slope, and 3.3 ft x 65.6 ft rolls. Mats join lengthwise on interlocking studs with the filter sheet overlapping at joints, are laid directly on a root-resistant waterproofing so no further protection layer is needed on the roof surface itself, are described as suitable for inverted roofs, and must be fully covered and not left exposed to UV light.
