Ventamatic's lower-output solar roof vents sold under the Maxx Air name, each with a galvanized steel dome, a metal mesh screen against insects, birds and rodents and an IP68-rated motor, factory assembled for roofs up to 8/12 pitch and needing 480 sq. in. of intake net free area. The CXSOLRF version has a separate 15 W panel on a 25 ft cord with quick-connect clips; the CXSOLRFDM version carries a 12.6 W monocrystalline panel on the dome. Maxx Air's page for the mounted-panel version says it suits attics up to 400 sq. ft. in one line and up to 1,500 sq. ft. in the next; the two figures disagree. Both pages give a 5-year limited warranty on the vent and 10 years on the solar panel.
