A fixed unit skylight that mounts on a site-built curb, with a maintenance free frame and no designated top, bottom or sides, so it can be installed in any direction; white laminated glass is offered where diffused light is wanted. VELUX sizes it by inside curb dimension, from 22 1/2 x 22 1/2 in. upward, and pairs curb-mounted skylights with its ECL (shingle and shake) or ECW (tile) curb flashing kits. The FCM product page's roof-pitch line names a different model, stating that the curb-mounted solar-powered skylight (VCS) is suitable for 0 to 60 degree pitches. VELUX states a 10-year installation warranty, 20 years on glass, 10 years on product and 5 years on shades and controls for its deck- and curb-mounted skylights.
