BlockShield SA Plus is VaproShield's non-asphaltic, self-adhered air and vapor barrier roofing membrane, installed primer-free on the warm side below rigid insulation in compact low-slope roofs (directly on galvanized or painted Type B steel deck, thermal board or concrete) and as an underlayment and temporary weatherproofing in steep-slope vented attic roofs, on slopes of at least 1/4:12. VaproShield cites 180 days of weather exposure, installation below freezing, 20% post-industrial recycled content, a UL 1256 rating on steel deck and a Class A UL790 and CAN/ULC-S107 fire rating when used with a 1/4 in. thermal board, backed by a 20-year material warranty. Its page prints the heat-stability figure as "270°F (-132°C)", a Celsius conversion with the wrong sign.
