Securock Weather Defense Roof Board is a 5/8 inch glass-mat cover board for commercial roof systems, with a treated core and a coated glass-mat facer, sold in 4 by 4 and 4 by 8 foot panels at a nominal 3.1 lb per square foot. USG's submittal sheet states it meets the FM Very Severe Hail (VSH) classification, FM Class 1 for fire and wind uplift under FM 4450 and FM 4470, and Class A for unlimited slope to UL790, and that it is manufactured to ASTM C1177 and meets Type X requirements for use as a thermal barrier in P series designs. The sheet also lists flame spread 0 and smoke developed 0 (ASTM E84), a noncombustible core per ASTM E136, a score of 10 for mold resistance (ASTM D3273), 900 to 1,000 psi nominal compressive strength, 20 perms and a 10 inch flute span per ASTM E661 over metal deck.
