Securock Cement Roof Board is a Portland cement roof board wrapped on both faces and the edges in polymer-coated glass-fiber mesh, used as a cover board under adhered or mechanically attached membranes (USG singles out liquid-applied membranes and cold mastic-modified bitumen) and as a parapet, fire or thermal barrier board; USG calls it the lightest 1/2 inch cement board in the industry. The submittal sheet prints Class A unlimited slope to UL790, flame spread 0 and smoke developed 0 (ASTM E84), a maximum 10 for mold resistance (ASTM D3273), FM approval to FM 4450 and FM 4470 with FM Class 1, manufacture to ASTM C1325, compressive strength above 1,000 psi (1/2 inch) and 1,250 psi (5/8 inch), 12-inch flute spannability, 5.84 perms and 2.4 to 3.0 lb per square foot. USG's warranty runs 2 years from installation.
