PBR (also called the R panel) is an exposed-fastener steel roof panel that Tri County Metals states is manufactured in its own facility, with 36 in. net coverage and four 1 1/4 in. high ribs on 12 in. centers. It is made in 26 gauge and in 24 gauge (mill finish only), in Galvalume AZ55 acrylic-coated mill finish or siliconized modified polyester paint, for roofs above 0.5:12 pitch. The maker lists Florida Product Approval 36904 for roof installs over plywood, wood purlins and open steel purlin framing, and Miami-Dade NOA 24-1022.05 for the 26 gauge steel panel over a wood deck. Its page states a 50-year limited paint warranty on the Core finish or a 45-year limited mill finish warranty.
