Tremfix is an asbestos-free roof cement composed of coal-tar pitch, reinforcing fibers and plasticizers, blended for year-round roof repair. The data sheet states it meets ASTM D5643, the specification for asbestos-free coal tar roof cement. It is used for general repairs on coal-tar roofs, including breaks and blisters, and for emergency repairs on wet surfaces of asphalt and coal-tar built-up roofs. It is trowel-applied and supplied in 3 gal containers.
