The Clamp-on series (C21, C22, C23, C31, C32, C41 and C42 models, in Z, EZ and HD variants) are snow fence brackets that clamp to the ribs of standing seam metal roofs with two 3/8 inch carriage bolts, so the system installs without penetrating the roof surface; clamps are made to fit double lock, single lock and snap lock rib profiles. The C22Z is a two-rail bracket for 1.0 inch OD tube, 4.50 inches long with a height that varies by rib type, weighing 1.80 pounds, and its data sheet specifies tightening each bolt to 30 ft-lbs with a torque wrench. The data sheet lists zinc-coated steel, copper and stainless steel; the product page also lists aluminum and weathering steel. The maker states it will only warranty a snow retention system or layout it has designed.
