Tru-R is a molded expanded polystyrene (EPS) rigid insulation made by Thermal Foams, offered for roofing as flat board stock or tapered, unfaced or with factory-applied facings or cover boards, for built-up, modified bitumen and single-ply membrane systems. Grades are Tru-R 100, 130, 150, 250, 400 and 600, with compressive strengths of 10, 13, 15, 25, 40 and 60 psi (ASTM C578 Types I, VIII, II, IX, XIV and XV) and R-values per inch at 75 F of 3.9 to 4.5. Boards come 4 ft x 8 ft or 4 ft x 4 ft or in custom sizes, and a borate-treated version is offered for termite resistance under ICC-ES AC239. The literature cites UL Evaluation Report UL ER0266-01 and a 50-year limited R-value warranty.
